Wilcor Is Open and Shipping Orders - COVID-19 Update

We will continue to ship orders and accept deliveries.

We will be continuing to do business in our part of the supply chain as it has been deemed essential by the State of New York (https://esd.ny.gov/guidance-executive-order-2026)

We have implemented many new safety and sanitation practices throughout our workplace.

For our business as of now we want to outline where we are at:

  • We are accepting and delivering orders.
  • We are accepting shipments of product into our warehouse.

If opening of your business will be affected by this crisis and would need a later shipping date we can accommodate that, just give our office a call (800) 346-2345 or email sales@wilcor.net.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time of nationwide crisis. Together we will overcome this virus.

A few questions you may be asking.

Businesses across New York State have been ordered to shut down. What gives you the authority to continue?

Wilcor International has been deemed an “essential business” (https://esd.ny.gov/guidance-executive-order-2026). This is due to our role in the supply chain. We supply stores, often in very out of the way places, with goods they then supply to the consumer. We have been deemed integral to continue this to make sure that store shelves remain stocked with goods and keeping people in a better place mentally about the lasting impact of this crisis.

Ok you’re staying open. What are you doing to help mitigate the spread of this virus?

We have separated the warehouse from the office entirely; each area has their own bathrooms and lunch areas. People in the office are encouraged to talk through the phone and reduce face to face contact as much as possible.  And 20% of staff is working from home to mitigate contact.

We have hand sanitizing stations set up across the warehouse and office, and newly setup Sanitation Crew sanitizing common work surfaces every 2 hours These include conference rooms, door handles, bathrooms, printers, multi-person computer stations, hand-trucks, pulling carts, etc.

We are talking about this with all employees, so we are all on the same page with how to prevent transmission, and with the updates from the WHO(https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019)and CDC (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prepare/prevention.html)on the understanding of this virus.

As for the health of our employees generally. We are offering 5 days paid sick leave to all employees. We also have Paid Family Leave (https://paidfamilyleave.ny.gov/) in New York State so caring for a relative is covered under an unemployment type benefit, and unemployment for anyone who decides to take it will go into effect immediately by NYS law during this crisis.

We are also giving job guarantees for anyone who would be out for an extended time due to any COVID-19 related issues. This can include quarantine for themselves or caring for their family or friends. We are encouraging anyone who may have had contact to stay home.
